Wolves will host Elmira Enforcers tonight

WATERTOWN — The Watertown Wolves will host the Elmira Enforcers at 7:30 tonight in a Federal Hockey League game at Watertown Municipal Arena.

This will be the final game of a six-game homestand for the second-place Wolves (15-9), who have gone 4-1 over this stretch, and overall are 9-3 on home ice this season, including a 4-3 shootout win over Elmira on Dec. 31.

Watertown’s Tyler Gjurich (27 goals-19 assists-46 points) and Gavin Yates (18-21-39) stand one-two in the league in goal scoring and points, respectively, while Gjurich and teammate Anton Lennartsson are tied for the league lead in power-play goals (six).

The expansion Enforcers (12-13), who sit in third place in the league and trail the Wolves by only five points in the standings, are guided by former Watertown Wolves coach Brent Clarke.

The Wolves will also play at Elmira at 7:05 p.m. Saturday to complete the home-and-home series.
